The 745 square-foot Encore Resort Room offers one king or two queen pillow-top Wynn Dream Beds and floor-to-ceiling windows. The living room offers a 55” HDTV on a swivel to be enjoyed from the bedroom or living room, an elegant sofa and a minibar. The discounted group rate is available for reservations made through 5pm (PT) on December 21, 2023 or until the group block is full, whichever occurs first. After 5pm (PT) on December 21, 2023 any changes to existing room reservations (names, dates, etc.) will be accepted based upon space and rate availability.

Group rates will be subject to the prevailing room tax, which is currently 13.38% and a daily Resort Fee of $35.00 plus 13.38% tax. The resort fee and tax are both subject to change.

Reservation holder must be at least 21 years of age and all guests will be required to show a valid government-issued ID upon check-in. Like most hotels, the Encore requires a pre-authorization of $150 for each night’s stay to cover incidentals upon check-in. Should a guest not provide a credit card, the Resort will require a cash deposit of $300 per night for incidentals at the time of check-in. Please note that if a guest uses a debit card, the pre-authorization will act as a direct withdrawal from the attendee’s bank account. The funds will be automatically withdrawn upon check-in.

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for physicians, certified registered nurse anesthetists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and other healthcare providers who must maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of legal risk management strategies.

Program Purpose

This is a legal risk management course designed to update anesthesia providers and other healthcare practitioners on the various legal issues that may be encountered and provide practical information for use in practice. Healthcare and law intersect on many different levels because of the complexity of federal and state regulations and a multitude of state laws regarding malpractice, contracts, and other areas of risk. There are legal implications to almost every aspect of healthcare, and therefore, the importance of a general understanding of the substantial legal risks inherent to practice in healthcare cannot be overemphasized. Courses in Health Law are traditionally absent from training curricula in the healthcare professions. This course will provide a concise overview for healthcare providers and will be presented by an experienced anesthesia provider who has more than ten years of experience as a practicing New York attorney concentrating in healthcare law.
